Air India has introduced a new service called ‘ZipAhead’ for faster check-in and baggage handling, allowing Economy Class passengers to skip the queue. Currently available at six major airports—Delhi, Mumbai, Hyderabad, Chennai, Bengaluru, and Kolkata—the service offers priority check-in at dedicated Premium Economy counters for quicker processing.
‘ZipAhead’ is offered at the following fees:
- ₹499 if booked more than 6 hours before departure.
- ₹699 if booked within 6 hours of departure.
Passengers can purchase this service up to 75 minutes before their flight through Air India’s website, mobile app, airport ticketing offices, or customer contact center. Additionally, Platinum and Gold members of Air India’s Maharaja Club loyalty program enjoy these priority services free of charge, regardless of their fare or class.
